General

2. Damage slows or interrupts our inductions, so Lore-masters usually want to avoid getting aggro. We'll often stay back and send our pet forward to maintain our distance. However, we may stay near our pet or the Guardian, so he can pull aggro off of us quickly if we do get it.
Crowed Control
1. Avoid attacking/damaging the mezzed or rooted mob. This is a common problem with AoE skills.ANTEEEE, SOVARA?
2. If you accidentally break our mez/stun on a mob, we can re-mez it. You don't have to keep tanking it.
3. Given a little prep time, we can mez one mob, keep another buys with our pet, and fight a third.
4. We cannot mez/debuff everything (undead, and other things we have limited spell selection).
5. At level 36, Lore-masters get Herb-lore, which roots 3 or more targets for a minute. Damage has a chance to release them.
6. Some LMs can root up to 8 mobs at a time. If the group gets into a tight situation, our fellowship can do what is known as a tactical withdrawal, where everyone stops attacking, I root them all to the ground, we fall back to a safer area (without respawn/adds) and then the main tank picks one or two of the rooted targets from the pile, and pulls them back to our group one at a time. The Call of the Valar and Cracked Earth skills allow me to re-cast my root.
Pets
1. A lore-master can't summon a pet while 'in combat'.
2. Pets are generally used defensively; we're very squishy without them.
3. Our bears make pretty good off-tanks.
4. The raven can distract any mob but makes an effective pull for archers, as they will switch to melee and engage whoever attacks them (usually the hunter).
5. Try not to fear any mob the pet is on, as the pet will chase it resulting in dragging everything back to the group when the fear wears off.
Healing
1. A lore-master has a 30 second cooldown on their heal and it takes a few seconds to cast. Your going to die if you absolutely need him to heal you faster than that.
2. A lore-master gets their first self heal at level 18, it's a heal over time, doesn't heal nearly as much as their single target heal, and has a 5 minute cooldown. Just because you are at full life due to the lore master healing you, doesn't mean he has any life at all. Please look at the fellowship list before you charge into battle.
3. Lore-masters healing is not like a minstrel healing. The lore-master must transfer his morale to you in order to heal you.
Power
1. Our Share the Power skill allows us to steal power from mobs, and transfer it to other players. Usually, any spare power will be distributed to the minstrel or the main tank.

3. We prefer to contribute blue for conjunctions (we cant' do red and yellow from range).
4. Draining the power from a mob often prevents it from executing its special attacks.
